从美东时间8月14日下午4时20分美东、加东发生大面积停电事件，到15日早晨7点为止，北美历史上最大规模的停电事故大部份地区的供电仍旧未恢复。
CNN报导说，经过电力部门的抢修，到15日凌晨仅有部分地区恢复供电。
