About the speaker:
Yali Wei has been quite active in breaking into
Venture Capital/Private Equity industry since he started his MBA at
Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto in 2007. Last
summer, while enjoying every live aspect of Beijing Olympics, he
worked for China National BlueStar (Group) Corp. in Beijing to screen
acquisition assets in Europe and the USA. Prior to his MBA, he was a
Development Lead and System Architect with Modular Mining System in
Vancouver, British Columbia, leading a local team as well as offshore
teams in Brazil, India, Mexico, and Russia. He also worked for a few
Internet start-ups in Silicon Valley and Kentucky. He has a Master of
Engineering degree from Tsinghua University and a B.Eng. with honor
from Huazhong University of Sci. & Tech.
