汉密尔顿警方称，周三晚上8点后不久在麦克马斯特大学附近的Traymore Avenue 的一个房屋发生火灾，消防员在屋内发现了一名没有生命体征的20多岁男子，他后来在医院被宣布死亡。警方和消防队长正在调查。
