周三夜到周四凌晨，士嘉堡在两个小时内发生4起劫车事件。据警方介绍，同一时间在杜兰区也发生两起劫车事件，其中一起发生在周三晚10：40，地点在皮克林Sheppard Avenue和Whites Road，一名女司机拒绝，歹徒逃走。另外一起发生在晚上11：15，歹徒用枪击打男司机头部，司机没有屈服，歹徒逃走。
