Morningside 的意思是“太阳初升的地方”。这个周末花好月圆的朋友们将相聚在这个太阳初升的地方，尽情享受夏日里多伦多绿色的纯美,享受野苹果成熟的喜悦。
现在我们看到的美丽的Morningside其实是二十世纪九十年代中期Scouts Canada的杰作。二战后，由于房屋短缺，Morningside周边地区的许多cottages被人们用作长期居所。但由于本地区处于湖滨高地，泥土流失，洪水泛滥等问题一直为战后人们争议的话题。一直到二十世纪九十年代中期Scouts Canada在Morningside Park 种下了5000株白松, 使得这个地区的植被得到巨大改善。可见Scouts不仅给世界各地
的孩子们提供了大量帮助，同时也多伦多的绿色环境做出了巨大贡献。如今由于人口的迅速增长，房地产业的空前兴盛，多伦多人正为保护当地生态平衡做着不懈的努力。公园入口右手边的bird box就是极好的见证。

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: It’s on Morningside Av. between Kingston and Ellesmere. Take Hwy 401 to Morningside Ave (Exit #487) and go south a couple of kilometers past Ellesmere Rd. The park entrance will be on the right (west side of road).
Take the path into the park past two parking lots about 700 meters and then cross the path to left handside look for us.
TTC DIRECTIONS: 1)Take the Scarborough Rapid Transit line to Scarborough Town Centre Station. 2)Take Bus 38 east to Morningside Ave. 3)Take bus 116 south to park entrance or walk south on west side of Morningside to park entrance. 4)Take the path into the park past two parking lots about 700 meters and then cross the path to left handside look for us.
